Who We Are: UMW’s chapter of Young Americans for Freedom is a non-partisan outreach organization committed to ensuring that increasing numbers of young Americans understand and are inspired by the ideas of individual freedom, a strong national defense, free enterprise, and traditional values.
Why We Need Your Support: YAF holds events every year for the campus community like the 9/11 Never Forget Project, Freedom Week, and the GPA Redistribution Contest. We also have had the chance in past to bring a speaker to campus to discuss important issues facing our community. Currently, we only have money through student dues. In order to reach out to our community, we need funding to hold these events and bring speakers in to speak to us about the ideas of freedom and liberty.
How Your Gift Will Help: Your gifts will help us by raising money to pay speaking fees and cover costs to hold an event open to the UMW and Fredericksburg community. Our goal to hold an event that is an open dialogue and free exchange of ideas to discuss different viewpoints of issues facing us today.
