Support the College of Education on #MaryWashDay

Teaching is the most important profession in the world. It has been said that a good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning. In the College of Education at UMW, we are fortunate to work with incredibly bright students eager to make a positive difference in the world. Your support can help them in so many ways. Specifically, your gift can help:

  • Support tutoring programs for economically challenged children in our community;
  • Create important learning experiences for preservice teachers and students with autism and other disabilities;
  • Provide scholarships for students in need who want to become teachers; and
  • Develop local partnerships through educator in residence speakers, visits with local leaders, and innovative practicum placements.

"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge."  -Albert Einstein

"I am grateful to those who give to the University of Mary Washington's College of Education. Not only are they investing in my education, but also in those of future generations."  - Molly Bowling, PreK-12 Education

The UMW College of Education continues to provide students like me with a high quality education at an affordable price. By giving to the University of Mary Washington, you are helping more students access the necessary tools to become positive agents of change.” -Heather Taylor, PreK-12 Education
