Professors Ambuel, Aminrazavi, Houghtalin, Pitts, and Romero were so blown away by support of the Elizabeth A. Clark Lecture Fund this morning that they have decided to MATCH the next $550 in gifts that come in to the Fund! Make your gift by choosing "College of Arts and Sciences" as the department and "Elizabeth A. Clark Lecture Fund" as your designation. Your gift will help to fund the lecture series addressing women, gender, and Early Christianity and its many intersections with classical studies and philosophy. The fund is named in honor of Dr. Clark, who founded UMW's Religion department in 1964 and served as the first chair of Classics, Philosophy, and Religion in 1979.

Calling all Graduates of the Last Decade, AKA GOLD Alumni! From 4-6 p.m., your gift to the Fund for Mary Washington will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Lisa Jamison Bowling ’89, Vice President for Advancement and University Relations. Gifts of $50 or less to the Fund for Mary Washington, from the Classes of 2011-2020, qualify for this match. Your $10 gift will become $20; your $25 gift will become $50; your $50 gift will become $100!

Robert J. '96 and Sarah Gildersleeve Strassheim '01 have been Mary Wash Giving Day supporters since the very beginning! This year, they’re challenging everyone who loves Mary Washington to join them in giving back. Parent Leadership Circle members Lori and David Underwood P’22 will DOUBLE their fellow UMW parents’ gifts to the Fund for Mary Washington! The Underwoods will match, dollar-for-dollar, each Giving Day gift to the Fund by parents of current UMW students and parents of alumni, up to $2,000. When their full match is unlocked, they will make an additional $500 gift to support the TEAL Peer Educators program in the Center for Prevention and Education.
