College of Arts and Sciences

The departments and programs of the College of Arts and Sciences are the heart of our liberal arts and sciences education at Mary Washington, supporting student learning both inside and outside the classroom.

Your gifts will help prepare graduates for leadership roles in local, national, and global communities; help meet the learning needs of undergraduates through innovative teaching and personalized advisement; and help provide strong support for undergraduate research and active learning.

The College of Arts and Sciences Challenge:

If 750 gifts are made to any College of Arts and Sciences program or department on Mary Wash Day—including the Beyond the Classroom Endowment—it will unlock a $7,000 gift from Bridget Binko ’74 to the Beyond the Classroom Endowment.

Please consider supporting the College of Arts and Sciences by donating directly to the academic departments or programs of your choice, by choosing from the menu on the giving form, or give directly to our endowment to support outside-the-classroom experiences such as study abroad, internships, or undergraduate research, by choosing Beyond the Classroom. Gifts to the CAS General Fund provide the Dean with funds to direct to our most critical needs.

To recognize and honor Troy Paino's 10th year as Mary Washington's 10th president, when 1,010 gifts are made during Mary Wash Day, we will unlock a $10,000 gift from UMW Foundation Board of Trustees Member Vicky Nichols Wilder ’80 and Marty Wilder ’80 to support current and future students.
